Ginger’s bulbous roots contain active parts called ‘gingerols’. Ginger helps stimulate the secretion of stomach juice and bile and helps with nausea, especially when travelling. It helps widen blood vessels, prevent blood clotting and support a healthy heart, arteries and blood flow, especially to the hands and feet. Ginger supports healthy digestion and absorption, sperm production and swimming ability, sexual function, menstruation, and lung and brain function. It helps lessen wind and balance cholesterol levels. Time release allows slow release in the gut for longer effect. Applied to skin, ginger stimulates circulation and promotes a feeling of warmth.
